About Tim

Hi  I’m Tim – Head of DevOps for Allies Computing, professional photographer, aspiring cyclist, “technologist” and dad to Sam and Ellie.

Since first being introduced to the world of computing with a ZX Spectrum 48K (if memory serves correctly!), I’ve always had a keen interest in technology – especially computing.

These days, I head up the DevOps team for Allies Computing – a leading specialist provider of addressing systems, technology & data.

Away from IT, I’m building my professional photography business providing wedding, commercial and lifestyle photography across Norwich, Norfolk and East Anglia. Let me know if there’s anything I can do to help.

I’ve always loved photography right from an early age, and first started to learn my craft while hand-developing black & white photographs during my school days. Now, although a fully-digital workflow has long since replaced the dark room, enlarger, Ilford paper & chemical-filled trays, photography is my artistic passion.

This blog is a bit of a mix of content – there’s lots of photographic & tech articles, random thoughts about cycling, the odd review, and a diary of our house refurbishment experiences from a few years back. Suppose you could say that I like to be busy!

Hope you find something useful or interesting to read – always happy to field any questions so please feel free to either leave a comment or two, or get in touch.

Also, if you’re looking for a photographer… give me a shout 🙂
