Back at the start of February, @mikesavory and I h Back at the start of February, @mikesavory and I headed to Old Hunstanton beach with the fantastic Abby & Brendan for a walk along the beach in some beautiful evening sun.. and to try a few new things out ahead of the busy 2025 wedding season. I've posted before about 35mm film, but thought we'd seize the opportunity to capture a pre-wedding shoot on film - exploring what happens when you try and shoot a 25 year old film camera how I usually work while Mike captured some beautiful Super8 style goodness. Shall we just give a little nod to the timeless be Shall we just give a little nod to the timeless beauty that comes with black and white photos? Whether captured on 35mm film or digital, when you strip away the colour you're left with textures, shadow and light; emotive classic photos that will stand the test of time better than any passing trend or filter. When editing a set of images I always look for photos that have the potential to stand out in black and white and will edit those in B&W as well as their beautiful colour original. This doesn't suit every photo though and some just work better in colour, whether that's down to their composition or if the colour is important as part of their story. Your gallery will always includes a balance of B&W and Colour photos.
